Bakos Boglárka

Bakos Boglárka  is a Hungarian fashion designer living in Rome who graduated from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in fashion and knitwear. in this project Bakos used the same techniques employed during Shibori dying to manipulate and change the fabric.

"I concentrated on the driven, knotted and fixed material on the structure. Depending on the shibori technique the material could be made rigid and flexible at the same time which changed the properties of the materials used so far. I created the form with this process, and I have created flexible clothing that can be changed by the movement." Bakos Boglárka

Lene Nymark

"Body Gloss is about the interaction between body language and non-verbal dresscodes, that people use to express their identity and gender visual. The construction and choice of materials for this collection, is based on stereotyped and recognizable perceptions, of what we connect with masculine and feminine fragments." Lene Nymark
Lene Nymark has some very interesting projects and I really enjoyed her fashion illustrations and sketches. Lene has just graduated from Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen.

Zita Merenyi I

Zita Merenvi in her collection provo-CUT used neoprene and instead of stitching the seams, she melded them together by heating the fabric like soldering. Zita's experimentation with fabrics their cut and bonding makes her work stunning and unique.

"This is a coat collection where I use soldering instead of tailoring lines, which looks like scars, reflecting on the long term and temporary traces of mankind on the Planet Earth and on their own body, like scarification tattoos," Zita Merenyi

Valeska Jasso Collado graduated from Westminster University this year with a collection in which she choose to combine unusual materials to create new textiles with which to form her structured garments.

"I chose foam because it would make the voluminous but clean shapes I had in mind possible, It also meant I didn't have to build any kind of frame or stuffing which are more common methods to create volume for garments."
